Too. Much. Housework!

I'm on the ball this morning, despite not really wanting to be. I can't stop. Except for just now I stopped for a Triple Chocolate Cookie break.

You see, I'm not one for the whole diamond ring, massive bunches of expensive flowers, shoes and handbags... yuck. Not my cuppa tea. So when I come downstairs in the morning in a stinking mood (because I am NOT a morning person at all - wooo go parenthood), and there is a cookie on the desk or a bottle of lemonade it makes me so happy. Dave knows exactly how to make me happy. The point of this little tale is that this morning I came down and found a packet of Sainsbury's Triple Chocolate Cookies on the desk. And I had one for breakfast. I am making up for the lack of health by drinking plenty of orange juice, which BTW, I am craving like no-one's business.

So I am in a good mood. And what did I do with this good mood? Housework of course. I have made breakfast for the children, folded the clean washing, got another load ready to dry, I have made chicken stock, prepared my veg and stuck it all in the slow cooker so if I fall asleep at 4pm like I did yesterday it wont matter because I have already started tea!

Oh yes, right! Yesterday I was in and out hanging up washing and stuff, like I do, and then all of a sudden I had to stop because I was SOOOO tired. I sat down on the sofa thinking, right I'll just have 5 minutes then go start tea. Well, the next thing I know it's just gone 5pm and Dave is awake wondering what the hell he is gonna take to work. I'd fallen asleep you see. But it all worked out ok because Dave went out and got a Chinese takeaway.

And my plans for the rest of the day involve unfolding the table and getting the glue and pens and sticky things out so the kids can make stuff while I'm faffing about in the kitchen. :D W00t!

weee weee weee, all the way home

Aaron told me this morning he wanted to wear Thomas the Tank Engine pants. I didn't think saying no would be a good idea if I want to encourage toilet training so Robert and Aaron looked in Robert's underwear drawer together for some pants. Now I have to get Aaron some pants of his own. Aaron has used the potty several times today and hasn't had any accidents. I'm so proud right now! There's no going back, Aaron is officially potty training.

It's not a forced smile, I promise....

Dave told me to go for a nap at 1pm since I looked very tired. I lay in bed waiting for sleep to come and I thought about things that have made me smile recently...

100% score on GH3. Wooooo!

Today Robert said to me, "Katie is my best friend!" Which made me smile. Robert loves Katie so much!

I had a real nice night at Sarah & Garry's. Both times! My friends are brilliant and I love them all very much. Here's Sarah B;

Sarah and Garry;

Dave's unwavering support yesterday and for always. I love him so much!

Aaron sat on the potty tonight and did a wee! And not only that he has taken an interest in underpants and picked a clean pair of Robert's up and put them on! I think he must realise now he is the only one with a nappy.

And I totally cannot wait to get my hands on this;
<lj-embed id="9" />

So there we are. Things to be happy about.

ruuuuurgh >:(

My userpic for this entry was going to me the crying Chao. But I don't really feel like crying. I feel like shouting. I'm just so annoyed and I hope it's because I'm about to have a period. Everyone is grating on me at the moment.

* I'm gonna start with the fact I felt the need to switch off my mobile phone today for the first time in, I dunno... FOREVER! Woah with the text's people. Srsly. So my phone has been switched off since 2 o'clock this afternoon and it's still sat on my pillow because I don't care for it and I don't see it being switched on again while it's still Monday.

* I took the morning after pill. I haven't had my period. Yet. I'm quite sure I should have done. I am such a twat. I don't expect sympathies for this. I don't want sympathies for it. I made a stupid decision and I take full responsibility for the consequences. I have been in a foul mood most of the afternoon and the fact of the matter is I really hate myself for getting here.

* This is a silly one as it's really nobody's fault and I'm just being a wreck. I feel left out. Everyone's doing stuff except for us because I'm a non-driving idiot that has to wait until Dave is awake to be able to go out and do stuff. Le poop. (As a side to this one I'd like to add that I am very grateful that Dave has a job in the current economic climate. He hates working nights and he hates stacking shelves but he does it for the family and I admire that. This is a reason I love him deeply and with all of my heart and soul.)

* I am going to marry Dave very soon but I am NOT going to wear a big puffy fluffy white dress or indeed any kind of dress of any sort. Or a skirt. Oh hell no. If I could get away with it I'd arrive in jeans and a T-shirt which will shock/annoy/upset/offend many but you know what? I don't care. I'm getting married, not you. If you want a white fluffy dress, have one. I don't so don't get all up in my grill about it. Srsly.

* Argh! For pete's sake I'm 23 I don't want acne anymore :'(

/rant

My one happy note; Robert has settled in very well in his new class. Aaron is learning and growing every single day and when my dark cloud lifts I am going to revel in my <strike>smugness</strike> pride for the two beautiful, smart, kind, funny and downright wonderful boys we have created.

Fun with my mp3 player...

...but what I mean is my phone because I don't actually own a working mp3 player anymore. My phone is music orientated so who needs mp3 players, amirite?

Anyway, I thought it might be fun to find out what is in my 'Most Played' folder and list them. A mixed bag it would seem...

* Kiss - Rock and Roll All Night
* Kiss - God Gave Rock and Roll to You
* Meatloaf - 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad
* Basshunter - Angel in the Night
* Sean Kingston - Fire Burnin' (Not usually my cuppa tea but I luffs this very much)
* Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover
* Metallica - One
* Muse - Knights of Cydonia
* Poison - Talk Dirty to Me (Can we see the GH3 pattern emerging here?)
* Hale and Pace - Never Gonna Get This Song Out of Your Head (From the TV show Hale and Pace)* * La Roux - Bulletproof
* Billy Joel - The Longest Time
* Suede - Animal Nitrate
* Spongebob Squarepants Theme Tune
* Uncle Kracker - Follow Me
* Scrap Brain Zone music from Sonic the Hedgehog on the Megadrive :)

I wanna learn how to play the guitar. And since the whole GH3 obsession started in this house Robert has decided he does too and he is drawn the acoustic guitar. He always stops to look in the music shop we walk past in town.

I've gone right off TV and have had to charge my phone up every night for 4 nights because I'm running it right down with listening to the music. In bed til the very early hours just listening to my music. This is why I'm tired.

Is this a blessing?
Or is it a curse?
Does it get any better?
Can it get any worse?
Will it go on forever?
Is it over tonight?
Does it come with the darkness?
Does it bring out the light?

Le Wheeeeeee

OMG! Cannelloni a la Dave is LUSH! Srsly. And I even got a mouthful of the vegetarian mixture and that was lovely too.

The fact that they were in individual dishes was the novelty for me. I didn't have to worry over Sarah's vegetarian adaption, just an extra frying pan. Easy as that. And everyone really enjoyed it and were raving about it and I am so proud of Dave it's unbelievable.

Davey I'm really very proud of you!

And then he made Eton Mess which is basically chopped strawberries, crushed meringue and whipped double cream all mixed up which went down better than the shop (Farmfoods) bought toffee pavlova.

Davey I'm DOUBLE proud of you!

And good times were had by all last night. The boy's (adult-boys) played Guitar Hero, the girls gossiped, the kiddles were noisy. Oh I am so disorganized and chaotic but I do love a houseful. And especially a houseful of my favourite people.

So. Sarah and Garry took the girls and Rob home last night and Sarah B stayed the night. Dave got up this morning, went to Tesco and brought back supplies to make a cooked breakfast!

Davey, I am TREBLE proud of you!

Then we thought we would go to Bury St Edmunds for a little while and have a gander round because it's better than Thetford. We had lunch at Frankie n Bennys with Sarah B. Yummerz! I do love that place! Then we came back. Saw Dave's folks for a little while, then Sarah B went home (boooooo - we LOVE Sarah).

We had to go to Brantano to get some school shoes for Robert who starts reception class on Monday. I am soooooo proud again! And then we nipped over to Sainsbury's to get Aaron a Thomas the Tank Engine birthday cake.

When we were in Brantano we saw some super-cute Thomas the Tank Engine trainers and birthday-monies permitting we'll go back tomorrow and pick them up for Aaron. He loves Thomas all of a sudden. It's nice to see him develop his first proper interest. Robert's was Lazy Town and Aaron's is Thomas the Tank Engine. Robert still loves Lazy Town and Sportacus. In fact his school bag is a Sportacus one and when he starts full-time school in January next year he'll get a Sportacus lunch bag. We've seen it in the shop already. :D

Anyway, I am gonig to try and ace some Guitar Hero songs. Dave got his first 100% and it's my turn now.

Kitchenware! ya rly (o.O)

I am indeed going to be talking about kitchenware. More specifically, OVENWARE.

I have ovenware, and by oven ware I mean the big terracotta/ceramic type things you're bake big-ass lasagne or shepherds pie in. Not pyrex and not tins. Well anyway, I have the big oven dish that I make lasagne in but what I've been looking for is small RECTANGULAR individual oven dishes. And can I find any? No.

So Dave says to me, "let's look in Sainsburys!" Which happens to be the last place in Thetford that may probably stock them. I looked in Argos, Tesco, Roys, I even looked on Tesco Direct website. I found some random kitchenware websites but couldn't find the kind of thing I wanted. Even Ikea, good old reliable Ikea didn't have them small enough. Urgh.

So we're in Sainsburys and we find the ovenware section has a sale on but is there an individual sized rectangular ovendish? NO THERE IS NOT!! But there were a bunch of oval ones for just 49p. I'm a sucker for a bargain and I got 6. Even though they're oval. And mis-matched colours. D'oh.

I got fed up of looking and being continually disappointed by the lack of rectangles. :(

And the reason I wanted them is because we're hosting tea on Saturday. Sarah B is coming over Friday and will stay over the night, (hopefully) Sarah and Garry are coming with the girls and possibly bringing Rob and I'm cooking CANNELONI! Stuffed canneloni tubes. Of course I'm adapting Sarah B's to the vegetarian version. Quorn mince. Whhyyyy oh whhhyyyy is the Quorn brand so frickin expensive?! But I don't mind doing it because she's my mate.

Oh and this tea thing is really a Birthday Eve tea for Aaron who will be 2 the following day. Wheeee!

I just hope the canneloni tubes fit in my OVAL dishes. Gutted me if they don't.

And that's me done about kitcheware. How random.

Can't get enough of that wonderful Duff

I have been playing Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the DS. OMG I cannot get past Shao Kahn. I swear I'm gonna scream!

I'm watching The Simpsons now. Hence the title of this entry.

The kiddies are now about to be put to bed by Dave which means a lovely evening of togetherness. I love when Dave has holiday from work. He has 4 days off this week as holiday. Wednesday through to Saturday. He goes back to work on Sunday night which is Aaron's birthday.

Aww my baby is gonna be 2 years old. Christ almighty where does the time go?

Today... what did I do today? Oh right. Well I guess the main even of today was a walk in town haha! Exciting! We picked up a decent pair of trainers for Robert in Barnados for £3.50. Normally I wouldn't buy trainers for somebody Robert's age from a charity shop because they get wrecked but these are near perfect. We also got a fryer. In 4 years of living together we have never needed one, nor have we wanted one but now we kinda have one. I used that £5 voucher I got in the post last week. Oh! And I got some blackhead strips. They're always fun. I haven't used them for years so I'm quite looking forward to seeing the kind of crap that's gonna come out of my face. XD

Aaaand I was craving jalepenos for some crazy reason so I treated the clan to a Subway. I had a Meatball Marinara with red onions and jalepenos. YUMMERZ! I don't even like hot stuff! Except apparently I do because I ate Chili Con Carne a la Garry on Friday.

Maybe I like hot food now. :-P

Urgh, it's raining now. Le poop.

I recorded this film last night Hot Chick I think it's called. Well Dave's just started playing it so I guess it's time I sat on the sofa. :)

Evening all!

My darling little Aaron just took off a drain cover and started chucking stones down there. To avoid blockages later on, Dave is now elbow deep in minging drain water. Srsly. Up to his elbows. It stinks.

Is it wrong that I find it hilarious?

:)

Drunken Antics with the Lee's ~ tl;dr kinda entry.

We went to Norwich on Friday afternoon. We left Deacon 24 hours worth of food and a couple of bowls of water and left the kitchen window open for him which is his preferred method of entry if the back door is closed.

On our way to Norwich we went to Sarah and Garry's to drop off the gazebo, the booze and the cheesecake. It threw it down with rain while we were on the A11 and we wondered f it had gotten that bad in Norwich. Thankfully it hadn't so Dave and Garry got the gazebo up before the rain arrived. Then it did chuck it down. Just in time methinks!

Then we went to my mum's to settle the boys down, get them some tea and I got the chance to wash, dry and straighten my hair. Robert settled down with his DS and we took Aaron to bed at 6.30 because he didn't have a very long nap and after almost 30 minutes of crying he fell asleep which meant my mum's job was 80% done as all Robert was going to need was drinks and the toilet. He would play with his DS until bed time.

Dave and I left my mum's just before 7pm and arrived at Sarah and Garry's place within around 10 minutes because we missed rush hour entirely. The door was answered by a guy we later found out to be Rob who is now in fact Sarah B's boyfriend! Yay for Sarah B! I had a chat with Rob at one point and he seems really nice so fingers crossed it works out for them because Sarah deserves for that part her life to be fulfilled :)

There was driiiiink and lots of it! I have become quite fond of random cider. I had 2 bottles of Jacques and 2 bottles of Kopperhager(or something like that) and periodically stole from Dave's whisky. As you do.

I was quite, quite drunk. Sarah B was quite, quite drunk. Dave told her not to be noisy in the house because there were 2 little people sleeping upstairs so she got drunkenly upset and thought we didn't trust her with our kids and we thought she's an idiot! I say we, I mean Dave and I and Sarah and Garry. I told her nobody thought she was an idiot and I do trust her with Robert and Aaron. Good lordy my children love Sarah so much it's unbelievable! And Katie really does latch on to her so she is obviously doing something right.

Fact; I was standing in Sarah L's kitchen yesterday watching Sarah B in the garden with the boys and Katie and Sarah was managing to juggle Aaron climbing on top of her with Katie wanting to be pushed on her swing and Robert wanting to play hide and seek. Now I'd like her to tell me she thinks we think she's an idiot. I soooo do not. If I didn't think she could handle it I would have intervened.

Anyway, back to Friday. Garry made chili con carne which I wouldn't usually like except I really liked this. It was goooooood! It soaked up the booze a treat and then after the chili, some cheesecake and a black coffee I didn't feel like I'd been drinking at all. So I had more cider!

There was a video camera and a regular camera present. Sarah B got her baps out. I've seen Sarah B's baps. Hahahahahahahahahahahaahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Plenty of pics of me looking worse for wear that's for sure, when they hit Facebook (which is totally inevitable) I'll picspam you all. I think there maybe new pics of Dave and I in the same actual shot. Because there isn't many pictures of us both together in existence. A handful maybe. Less than 10. Seriously.

So Saturday morning rolls round, I felt nauseous every time I moved so I just laid still for about an hour but then Dave got me a glass of orange squash and I felt much better. I was up and about by 9am. As were Sarah B and Rob. The hosts and their offspring remained in bed for another 30 minutes or so. Very tired and slightly hungover.

So what did we do? Show them a video if the worlds biggest ZIT. Minging. Seriously. Weak stomached people don't watch. You will throw up. Sarah L went a funny shade of green, Garry's eyes nearly fell out of his skull, Sarah B screamed. All good fun.

Then we were presented with breakfast which was yet again YUMMY! I do love me some scrambled eggs. There was a little bit of Mario Kart Wii going on until lunch time which was fun. I think I wanna get that now. Not that Guitar Hero is getting boring because it's not. I'm just really stuck on hard mode. Booo!

I feel this is getting somewhat tl;dr so I've adjusted the title of this post.

So the rest of yesterday involved a trip to Eaton Park - childhood memories aplenty - and a LUSH Chinese from Planet Wok. Expensive? Yes but incredibly good. Then we got home last night to a note from number 5 saying they "almost" ran over Deacon on Station Road but didn't. They put him back in our garden but he hopped over the fences again (like cats do DUH!) and instead of just leaving him to pop through our kitchen window as he pleases they took him to their parent's for us to collect. So we got him back, that's the main thing I guess.

He has been out and about in the gardens all day and comes back in through the window if the door is shut so I think taking him away was unnecessary. I know he is little but he ain't stupid. I'm just glad he is OK.

Anyway. I've just written about 325863495308971 days worth of entries in an hour son don't expect to hear from me til next week :) Just kidding.

I hope everyone is ok.

Its been a funny old day. Some odd conversations by text that I'm kinda not wanting to get in to right now.

I'm now about to go to bed. Dave is meant to be at work but he came home at 10 because he felt poorly. He has been sat on the sofa since then.

I'm kinda buzzing about something that I'm not ready to talk about yet.

I dunno, maybe this entry is so vague it wasn't a good idea. I feel like if I say these things I wont have to think about them in bed and for the first time in a week I can get a full good night's sleep. the heat does not make for very good sleeping conditions. Even with a fan on it's been really horrid.

I'm glad we can open the doors and windows now, the cat comes and goes as he pleases and is enjoying the back garden. Today he has been practicing walking along the top of the garden fence. He got stuck once and meowed til I came and helped him down.

Anyway.

Bed.

Night all.

woooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I am excited.

Coz baby we'll be at the drive-in, in the old man's Ford. Behind the bushes, until I'm screamin' for more. Down the basement, lock the cellar door and baby, talk dirty to me!

I've got music on tonight. No TV. Stupid TV. South Park is on but I've surely seen them all now at least once. So I've been downloading some music. I got Poison's Talk Dirty to Me because it rawks something chronic.

Then the pooter had a spazfit and I had to close down Firefox but it was ok again and then I came on here to tell you that I am excited.

Hypo-excited. I don't even know why. I'm just really bouncy.

I have 1 gripe and that is why doesn't Mortal Kombat 3 on the DS feature Johnny Cage? It's shocking, that's what it is, is what it is.

OH! And Deacon had his first taste of the outdoors today. He looooved it and is so tired out that he is sleeping with his big kitty-butt on my boob and his body and head over my shoulder right now. Someone needs to tell this guy he ain't a damn parrot! He always comes to me for a snooze and often crashes out on my boobs. What the hell is that all about? I thought cats were independent creatures? Ohhhh no, this one wants to climb on my shoulder or sleep on my boobs at every available opportunity.

He is so cute though. And his fur actually smells nice. :)

I totally rock at Guitar Hero 3.

MY favourite song is Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. LOVE IT.
YAWNSVILLE!

I am tired.

Let's explore the reasons.

I went up to bed at about 11.30 last night. I left the door at the bottom of the stairs open so Deacon (official) could explore but I closed Robert's door entirely. No biggy. I knew Deacon had settled down on my bed, I knew he was preening because I could feel him.

All of a sudden my feet are being attacked. And it's too hot for duvets, that's why they were open to attack. I look at the clock, 2.58am. I put my feet under the duvet, carry on trying to sleep. My legs get attacked so I put my legs under the duvet too. My arse is next on the hit list, claws out and everything. Because I sleep on my front mostly. So now the duvet is up to my butt and I've got the fan on because I feel myself getting hotter and hotter...

CLAWS in my SHOULDER! I'm awake so so I lob a small teddy down the stairs, Deacon chases it and I close my door. Haha.

Haha @ me, more like. This is a clever kitty. Jumping at my door, scratching the door and wailing. I look at the clock 3.36am. I open the door and he jumps on my feet. OK, I get it, he wants to play. But haha, no. It's almost 4am. I don't play at 4am. I go downstairs and he follows me, pouncing on my feet every step I take.

He jumped up on to the freezer and pawed at an empty food from tea time yesterday. Light bulb moment! I mean, he is only little so he needs feeding little and often. I pick his bowl up from the floor, put it on the side and open him up a new pouch. I put it by the back door. Then I decide that I'll sling his litter tray and bed that side of the house and close the kitchen door so he has room to play or sleep or poop or eat but he wont be disturbing me, mostly the kids I was worried about. And it also meant he was unable to make a break for it when Dave came in at 6am this morning.

And I don't know what posessed me but I thought it might be a good idea to log on to LJ in the middle of all this from my mobile and leave random comments.
Kitteh!

I has cat.

He is really pretty. All black, all over and pretty green eyes.

Dave brought him in, opened the carrier door and it was like he'd lived here all his 10 week life. He has since scoffed a pouch of kitty food and about 10g of dry food, gone after some gravy I didn't realised I'd spilt, bad Hayley, and slept on top of the TV. He has also started a bond with Robert. Aaron is a bit too full-on at the minute.

He just this last few minutes discovered the hamster and is now sleeping on top of the cage. Bertie is not amused XD

So we gotta keep kitty in for 2 weeks. Maybe longer, I have to find out if this little one has had any vaccinations, I'm guessing since he is 10 weeks old the answer is no. I shall email tomorrow and find out then get him registered at the vet.

And because after a couple of hours of exploring he has settled in to his new home very well he sat still in the sunshine and let me take a pic. Excuse the mess, he did lay down right by the back door, hence Dave's trainers.

So there he is. Kitty. Except Kitty isn't his name, we just haven't settled on one yet. I'm pretty sure he'll end up being Deacon.
